Openlands TreeKeepers® is one way to give back to local Chicago area communities by identifying potential tree problems and helping neighbors and communities with tree planting and tree care. TreeKeepers® are tree representatives that promote the importance of trees for the greater good of the community.
Trees in urban situations face challenges not experienced in a natural forest setting. TreeKeepers® are trained to become advocates for the trees by working with local governments to assist with planting, watering and monitoring community trees.
